My writing focuses on beer related travel around the world, beer festivals, local beer events and other beer topics of interest to me.
Other than here, I'm a regular columnist in What's Brewing and previously wrote for BC Craft Beer News (folded in Sept 2014). Other freelance beer writing includes a piece in Stay.com on Vancouver beer and writing beer and HR related content for BrewingWork. My work has been posted on the University of Vermont blog, BrewingWork.com, BeerMeBC.com, Sommbeer.com and I wrote over 600 beer/brewing-related trivia questions for Beat the Brewmaster.
You won't find beer reviews here as I personally don't read any. I prefer to drink and make my own determination.
Other Beer Stuff
I've been growing hops in our backyard since 2013. We currently have 5 varietals - Cascade, Centennial, Saaz, Golding & Willamette. These puppies grow about 26' now and yield about 10 lbs. from each plant. If you want to learn how to grow hops, it's pretty simple - read here.
As a co-founder of Farmhouse Fest, I encourage you to attend this fantastic saison and wild ale festival held in Vancouver, BC each summer.
I'm also a novice homebrewer and have a lot (A LOT) to learn. So far the best ones I've made are a Saison with elderflower & peppercorn, a smoked vanilla Porter and a Belgian Strong.
